Network Drives

There are two ways with which you can access your files from your home directory.  They can be accessed via a FTP program which allows you to upload and download files from your directory.  WS_FTP is the standard FTP program used for PC and Fetch for Mac’s.  The following links will talk you to pages with help and info for the FTP programs.

The second way to access your files is to use internet explorer. To do this you have to have a version of Internet Explorer that is 5.5 or newer.  The next steps will help you to connect to your online directory and give you access to your files.

Step 1:  Open up Internet Explorer

Step 2:  Type in ftp://username@acwin2k.sau.edu

Here is an example of your username mh8888888

Step 3:   After hitting enter a popup window will appear and it will ask you to enter your password.  Enter your password and it will take you to your folder containing your files.

Once the files have appeared you can copy, move, delete or save to any of your files on that drive.  We ask that you keep all files to be of an academic nature.  For convince you can save this page in your Favorites and it will make it more convenient for you to log in.
